The building that was once home to Chima Brazilian Steakhouse, at 3215 Peachtree Road NE, will soon be demolished.

A one-story, 4,730-square-foot building will be built in its place for a new Bank of the Ozarks, according to a demolition permit submitted to the City of Atlanta Tuesday.

An estimated $314,000 could be spent demolishing the former restaurant and its parking to make way for the new bank.

Earlier this year a Special Administrative Permit (SAP) Application was filed for the project.

Bank of the Ozarks was seeking a variance “to allow a driveway to be closer than 100 feet from the nearest intersection or driveway on the same block face on Peachtree Road.”

Headquartered in Little Rock, Arkansas, Bank of the Ozarks has more than 255 locations across the south.
