Brewing company demos building Friday morning launching planned expansion.
The Atlanta-based Sweetwater Brewing Co. is moving forward with plans to quadruple its beer-making capacity.
Currently with 26,000 square feet of space, SweetWater will increase their entire facility to 114,000 square feet to make room for a new event space, lab and expanded outdoor area.
The brewing company destructed a building Friday morning to begin construction on the new facilities. The additions are on track to be complete by November 2011, according to a press release Friday.
“The expansion will mean more upgrades and more space to continue serving the community,” said spokesman Steve Farace. “It’s all about the quality of our beer, and the more beer we can sell in our backyard the better.”
Almost 98 percent of the building that was destroyed Friday morning will be recycled, according to the release.

quadruple their space in only 4 months? Wow!That I gotta see!
nice shots Jeffro!
Maybe they should start charging a reasonable rate for their beer. Any other ‘local’ beer across the country doesn’t cost more to buy it in your backyard than a beer imported across the world.
