Dollar General has just begun the permitting process to open a store between Brookview and Collier Heights at 2750 Donald Lee Hollowell Pkwy, less than three miles away from the planned mixed-use development currently under construction at Quarry Yards.

At 12,655 square feet, the planned discount retailer will take up much more space than a traditional store which typically comes in between 7,300-9,000 square feet.

Notably, this store, which falls within the Hollowell-MLK Tax Allocation District, will be the only Dollar General in the Northwestern quadrant of the city, west of highways 75 and 85, inside the 285 and north of I-20.

Besides the location off Buford Hwy and a planned, compact store at that Hanover Midtown Tower, most other Dollar Generals are staked below the East-West highway.

Dollar General’s corporate website lists only one official location for Atlanta proper at 3509 MLK Jr. Drive.
