Duluth could be getting a new Marriott hotel.

An Element by Westin hotel with about 115 guest rooms is planned for 2140 Satellite Boulevard, according to construction documents. The five-story, 78,811-square-foot new construction would rise at the corner with Sugarloaf Circle.

Construction documents indicate plans for an outdoor pool and outdoor seating area, as well as a restaurant and bar on the top floor.

Satellite Commercial Properties Inc. is listed as the developer of the hotel.

Element is an extended-stay hotel that offers in-room kitchens, spacious guest rooms and nature-inspired design. “Your stay prioritizes wellness and sustainability from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave,” according to the website.

Element by Westin is one of several extended-stay hotels in the Marriott portfolio, along with Residence Inn, TownePlace Suites and more.
