A new affordable housing project is taking steps forward in Atlanta’s English Avenue neighborhood.
Westside Future Fund recently marked the groundbreaking of the multifamily development coming to 646 Echo Street NW. The property is west of Georgia Tech and about 1.5 miles from the Westside Beltline Connector.
The project is expected to include a total of 24 residential units across two three-story buildings. Twenty percent of the units will be available at 30 percent Area Median Income (AMI), 30 percent will be available at 60 percent AMI, and 50 percent will be available at 80 percent AMI. Two units will be ADA-compliant.
Kronberg Urbanists + Architects and oaksATL are among the teams working on the project.
The development is projected to be complete in September 2025.
Westside Future Fund seeks to revitalize and redevelop neighborhoods in Atlanta’s Westside, with a focus on five neighborhoods: English Avenue, Vine City, Ashview Heights, Atlanta University Center and Just Us.
The nonprofit organization has several other housing projects in the pipeline in Atlanta, including a 26-unit development on Sunset Avenue and a 33-unit mixed-use project on Joseph E. Boone Boulevard.
