IST Management Services is on pace to finish the main commercial building and break ground on a 90-unit apartment building this year for Halidom, a mixed-use project in East Atlanta‘s Woodland Hills neighborhood, it tells What Now Atlanta.
The $20 million-plus first phase of the project will include 32,000 square feet of office space serving as the new national headquarters for IST, an Atlanta-based business process outsourcing company, as well as 21,000 square feet of retail and a 2-plus acre park named The Preserve at Halidom.
“Progress is indeed moving along very quickly,” IST Management Services Vice President of Marketing & Real Estate Brad Burgess wrote What Now Atlanta in an email. “The main building is still on pace to open in early fall of 2021 and we are currently on pace to break ground in early May on the [6,000-square-foot] retail building that will also be opening in early fall of 2021.”
IST, which is developing the project, officially broke ground at 1341 Moreland Ave. in Southeast Atlanta in September, What Now Atlanta reported at the time. It bills the development on a project webpage as being a “sanctuary in the heart of the city where nature and urban development come together to create a one-of-a-kind mixed-use development.”
Vantage Realty Partners is heading leasing for the mixed-use project’s retail and restaurant space, which will be distributed between a main office mixed-use building and a smaller, 6,000-square-foot “outparcel building.”
The developer also said the project’s residential component, which it has described as boutique urban-garden apartments, will feature 90 units and is expected to break ground in the late summer.
In addition, IST said it is in discussions with the city about expanding the project’s park, which will also open this fall, by an additional 1.5 to 2 acres. The Preserve at Halidom is being built on the banks of Intrenchment Creek.
The general contractor for the project is Freese Johnson, with BA Barrett leading construction management.
Also involved is architect TSW and Cheatham Fletcher Scott, which is leading interior design.
