Hanover, Loudermilk file plans to construct new high-rise on Peachtree Street.
The Hanover Co., in partnership with The Loudermilk Companies, is moving forward with plans to construct Hanover Midtown, the city’s latest mixed-use high-rise (Hanover is overseeing the residential component of the project whereas Atlanta-based Loudermilk will own and lease the office and retail portion of the mixed-use.)
The Houston-based company this week filed a building permit application with City of Atlanta for new construction of the 29-story tower. Permits to develop the land for the project were filed dating back as early as February 2016.
The 406,000-square-foot Hanover Midtown will boast 342 apartments, 44,000 square feet of Class A office space and 11,000 square feet of ground-floor retail, according to a Letter of Inducement for the project.
The 342 residential units will consist of 198 one-bedrooms, 140 two-bedrooms, and four three-bedroom apartments. Hanover will also include a parking deck with 564 total spaces to be used by residents, with 50 spaces available to the retail portion of the project.
The project aims to attract tenants from the “‘TAMI’ sector (technology, advertising, media and information) and others complementing recent trends in Midtown.”
The Hanover Co. did not immediately return What Now Atlanta’s request for comment.
Wow! The curved facade is such a unique, architectural concept. Oh, no it’s not. 1080 Peachtree (a.k.a. 1010 Midtown) beat them to it!
You’re a sad person.
Those two buildings look nothing alike.
Is the parking lot next to Bulldogs? Are they taking over that entire block, including Bulldogs, T-Mobile, etc?
It is my understanding that the “curve” in the building was required in order to work around Bulldog’s, which will remain – at least for now. The vacant parking lot will be part of the Hanover Midtown development.
I also understand that the T-Mobile anchored property on the corner of 8th and Peachtree will remain as well.
This story has a sketch of the site plan which shows where the building will sit .

How tall will this building be? I’m in the market for a condo and want to make sure my purchase in Viewpoint is high enough to tower above this new development.
Thoughts?
