The Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta is moving forward with plans to overhaul its Midtown headquarters.
The nonprofit yesterday unveiled a conceptual drawing (pictured above) of what its 3-acre site could look like after the redevelopment.
Eric M. Robbins, president and CEO of the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta, told the Atlanta Jewish Times (AJT) Wednesday that the sketch was just “one architect’s idea.”
“That is the current rendering of what we are exploring having in this space, which is a multi-use building for Atlanta’s Jewish community,” Robbins told AJT.
Plans for the updated headquarters were first announced in late-2018.
It could include office space for new and growing Jewish organizations, an expanded William Breman Jewish Heritage Museum, a theatre, “Israel experience center,” and some residential.
The Jewish Federation today is housed in a one-story building, at 1440 Spring Street NW, and has been since June 1996, according to SaportaReport.
The Jewish Federation did not immediately respond to What Now Atlanta’s request for comment Thursday.
