Poised to redefine luxury in the heart of the city, the JW Marriott Atlanta Downtown will debut in Spring 2026 following an extensive transformation of the former W Atlanta Downtown.

Operated by Denver-based Stonebridge Companies, every space has been reimagined—from 237 serene guestrooms and suites to thoughtfully curated public areas— ushering in a new era of understated sophistication to downtown Atlanta. Marking the U.S. debut of JW Marriott’s Mindful Floor, the hotel will introduce 24 wellness-focused rooms designed with calming neutral palettes and softly layered lighting to foster rest, rejuvenation, and presence. Rooted in a narrative inspired by Atlanta’s railway heritage, treelined urban landscape, and diverse cultural identity, the design—led by Texas based Looney & Associates—evokes modern and sophisticated luxury. An entry vestibule casts dappled light, which sets the tone for an interior that balances Southern charm with contemporary sophistication. The check-in experience blends stone, warm woods, and integrated lighting, complemented by a reflective art installation that anchors the lobby’s tranquil feel.

At the heart of the hotel, a dramatic 360degree lobby bar serves as an inviting gathering point with suspended shelving, unobstructed sightlines, and generous surrounding seating. Adjacent, a fully opened Italian-inspired lobby restaurant and expanded market bring increased visibility and flow, highlighted by wood plank detailing and textured glass sconces. The reimagined Executive Lounge—one of the largest in the city—will be exclusive to hotel guests, offering 24/7 access to premium comforts, chef crafted culinary offerings, and an intimate space to work and unwind. On the rooftop, guests will discover an all-weather pool bar featuring sweeping skyline views. The JW Garden will provide fresh herbs and garnishes for use across the hotel’s culinary venues, while the spa, fitness center, and elevated boardroom overlooking the greenspace at Ted Turner Drive round out the amenity offerings. Meeting spaces have been refreshed with new finishes, including JW’s signature Blank Canvas Room—a gallerylike venue with wood floors and white walls designed to transform effortlessly for any event.
