KCP Partners with DASH Hospitality to Shape Doraville City Center Experience
Spanning over 13 acres, the Doraville City Center is located between New Peachtree Road and Buford Highway. It is within walking distance of the MARTA Station and connects to the Peachtree Creek Greenway and Atlanta Beltline.
The Doraville City Center will transform the city’s downtown into a connected, vibrant hub. Plans for the People’s Building were recently finalized.
The 30,000-square-foot community hub will include City Hall, a public library, creative studios, and ground-floor restaurants that open onto a large green space. Two rooftop spaces will host private events.
DASH Hospitality Group will use its decades of restaurant and hospitality experience to curate a retail lineup that appeals to all ages. The team will advise on community programming, including farmers’ markets, cultural events, and live music.
“What excites me most about Doraville City Center is building a restaurant and retail mix completely from scratch,” said David Abes, founder of DASH Hospitality Group.
“We will curate concepts that are thoughtfully selected for this community and offer something for everyone. We are energized by the opportunity to create a true sense of ‘place’ for residents and look forward to working alongside KCP and the City to create the new heart of Doraville,” Abes added.
Construction is set to begin this fall following the demolition of existing buildings on-site. KCP is scheduled to complete the Doraville City Center in 2028.
DASH’s Proven Track Record
DASH Hospitality Group has had a track record of ownership, management and operations of restaurants for decades. Funwoody has been its most notable project that it has worked on. The multi-concept is a dining and entertainment destination in the reimagined Village District of Dunwoody.
It features multiple services, including Bar[n], a craft beer, wine, and whiskey bar with a modern rustic setting, along with Morty’s Meat & Supply, Good Vibes, Message in a Bottle, and Yoffi. Like the new Doraville City Center, the restaurants are set around an outdoor plaza designed as a community gathering space.
DASH Hospitality Group also provided consulting for The Hub at 30A in Florida, using its experience to help create lively, mixed-use dining areas.
“Dining and gathering are at the heart of our vision for the new Doraville City Center, and David brings unmatched expertise in creating energized hospitality destinations that bring people together,” said Garry Sobel, Senior Vice President for KCP.
“DASH’s guidance will ensure the restaurants not only enhance the City Center experience but also strengthen its role in fostering connection and community,” Sobel concluded.
