Mixed-Use Development Proposed for Smyrna

A mixed-use project featuring residential, commercial and office space is proposed for Cobb County.

The project called South Spring would include a 20-story multifamily building with 650 units, according to a recent Development of Regional Impact (DRI) filing, Atlanta Business Chronicle was first to report.

In addition to the residential tower, there would be two 2-story buildings with 175,000 square feet of commercial space, as well as a 10- to 12-story building with 200,000 square feet of office space and 250 hotel rooms. A public plaza and park area and 1,700 parking spaces are also envisioned for the development.

2800 Properties LLC is listed as the developer of the project.

The site for the proposed development is located on Spring Road in Smyrna, near Truist Park and Cumberland Mall. RASS Associates LLC owns the property, according to the DRI filing.

The project has an estimated completion date of 2028.
