An Arizona-based multifamily housing developer has closed on nearly 50 acres in McDonough for a new residential community.

The Weldon by Broadstone, from Alliance Residential Company, is expected to include 330 units, according to an announcement. The development will include one- and two-bedroom floor plans ranging from 810 to 1,182 square feet.

The architectecture and interior design team behind the project is Atlanta-based Dynamik Design. The units will include stainless steel appliances, washers and dryers, oversized kitchen islands with quartz countertops and walk-in closets.

Amenities are expected to include a courtyard with grilling stations, a resort-style saltwater pool, a resident clubroom with kitchen, a 24-hour fitness center, and a mailroom featuring a Luxer One package concierge.

The 47.58 acres of land for The Weldon by Broadstone are located along State Route 155, about 30 miles south of downtown Atlanta.

Broadstone is one of several brands from Alliance Residential Company, established in 2001 to bring “an elevated custom residential experience in sought-after urban and suburban markets,” according to the company. Other Alliance brands include Holden, for senior housing, and Prose, for workforce housing.

Alliance currently has eight other properties that have recently opened or are under construction in Georgia. The company is based in Scottsdale, Arizona.

“The Weldon continues Alliance’s growth throughout the state of Georgia and will introduce a modern living option in a tremendously convenient location,” Noah Randall, managing director at Alliance Residential Company, said in the announcement.

The expected delivery date for The Weldon by Broadstone is spring 2025.

  • Please correct the address in your article. It should read 1750 GA Hwy 155 South. This mistake freaked out a lot of folks who live in the 1750 area of GA Hwy 155 North, which is where a huge park, fire station and Baptist Church are located.
