Mushiya Smith of WeTV’s Cutting it in the ATL is launching Runway Curls Salon Suites in Virginia-Highland.

The concept, replacing the now-shuttered Glamour Paws at 780 North Highland Avenue NE, will rent out individual suites to beauty professionals (think Salon Lofts, My Salon Suite.)

Demolition of the space that will house 42-rentable suites is underway.

Smith, who also owns and operates The Damn Salon, Runway Curls, and My Natural Doll, has pre-leased four of the suites, according to the company’s website.

“We are building state of the art [salon suites],” Smith in late-2017 said on her personal Facebook page.

“And you know when I do anything, I go [in]!”

The concept will offer its beauticians fully-furnished single and double spaces with amenities like ongoing education and training, a beauty boutique, retail, wholesale and dropship opportunities, and free credit card reader and payment solutions.

“Everything great about traditional salons, I will keep. Everything missing in salon suites, we will have. Everything I have learned to be where I am today will be shared with all the owners of these suites. It’s time to boss up!”

Smith did not immediately return What Now Atlanta’s request for comment.
