Retail and drop-off facility to be located between Midtown and Buckhead
Goodwill of North Georgia officially filed its building permit with the city of Atlanta this week to move forward with its new retail and drop-off location at 2135 Piedmont Road, between Cheshire Bridge and Lindbergh.
At nearly 25,000-square-feet, the store will sit on 2.4-acres, replacing a former antique market for which Goodwill paid $2.1 million in 2012. The $2,500,000 project is seeking LEED certification.
In the past year, this stretch of Piedmont has also seen growth from projects like Justin Amick’s Painted Pin boutique bowling alley, AMLI and Aventine Lindbergh apartments, and even rumors of a Walmart in the works.
The area is close to numerous transit options including Georgia 400, Interstate 85, MARTA, the Atlanta Beltline, and the Ga. 400 Trail.
