Planet Fitness Franchisee Opening $1.4 million Greenbriar Mall Facility

“],managing partner at Alder Properties, LLC., has plans to bring a Planet Fitness to Greenbriar Mall. DeMartinis Jr. owns and operates ten locations of the gymnasium, eight of which are in the greater metro Atlanta area.

A building permit application this week was filed for the new Planet Fitness.

Planet Fitness will occupy a 20,000-square-foot space in the Parcel E lot next to the mall, at 2841 Greenbriar Parkway SW. Construction will cost an estimated $1,400,000.

Expected to open in February 2016, “the club is barely in the works,” Planet Fitness corporate posted in response to a comment about the forthcoming location on its Facebook page mid-August.

Founded in 1992, Planet Fitness has 1000 locations and “markets itself as a ‘Judgement Free Zone’ that caters to novice and casual gym users,” according to the company’s Wikipedia page.

DeMartinis Jr. was not immediately available for comment.
