Bank opening branch on land currently occupied by fast-food chain.
PNC Bank is moving forward with plans to open a new Buckhead branch.
The American financial services corporation submitted a land disturbance permit to City of Atlanta Thursday to initiate the first phase of construction.
PNC’s new branch, at 3146 Peachtree Road, will open on land occupied by a Wendy’s restaurant. The bank will be built from the ground-up, and offer a drive-through (for cash, not hamburgers.)

Where do you bank? Tell us in the comments!
Any chance the Wendy’s is going to reopen elsewhere? I’d rather have a Wendy’s there than another freaking bank branch. How many bank branches do we need?
And bank branches are never open when you need them anymore anyway! Who has time to leave work and go to the bank in the middle of a weekday?
