Bank opening branch on land currently occupied by fast-food chain.

PNC Bank is moving forward with plans to open a new Buckhead branch.

The American financial services corporation submitted a land disturbance permit to City of Atlanta Thursday to initiate the first phase of construction.

PNC’s new branch, at 3146 Peachtree Road, will open on land occupied by a Wendy’s restaurant. The bank will be built from the ground-up, and offer a drive-through (for cash, not hamburgers.)

  • Any chance the Wendy’s is going to reopen elsewhere? I’d rather have a Wendy’s there than another freaking bank branch. How many bank branches do we need?

  • And bank branches are never open when you need them anymore anyway! Who has time to leave work and go to the bank in the middle of a weekday?
