General Assembly is the second startup incubator courted by PCM
UPDATE (Sept. 19, 2014): General Assembly Spending $1.1 Million For Ponce City Market Campus
Hotly anticipated redevelopment Ponce City Market (PCM) has leased 17,650 square feet to New York-based startup General Assembly, bringing the company’s tenth campus to Atlanta.
Its schools around the world are devoted to supporting entrepreneurs in technology, business, and design.
As the Atlanta Business Chronicle first reported, the addition of General Assembly further strengthens PCM developer Jamestown’s aim of gathering businesses of “the innovation economy” in the historic Sears building.
General Assembly will open in its space above PCM’s central food hall next year.
PCM is also reportedly in talks with Scoutmob’s Michael Tavani about launching an incubator as part of the development. Other tech companies with leases at Ponce City Market include athenahealth, Cardlytics and MailChimp.
