Peak Campus, a student housing developer, and operator, in conjunction with investment partner Blue Vista Capital Management, LLC, has broken ground on Theory West Midtown.

The new student apartment community is scheduled to open fall 2019.

“We are excited to serve the growing demands of a world-class university with a well-conceived plan and an excellent location.” Jeff Githens, President of Peak Campus Development, said in a prepared statement Friday.

Upon completion, Theory West Midtown will be a 525-bed community that serves students of the Georgia Institute of Technology.

The project is located directly across the street from the Georgia Tech campus and the PATH Parkway, featuring studio, one-, two-, three-, four-, and five-bedroom apartments that will come fully-furnished.

Amenities include a “resort-style” pool, rooftop deck, fitness center, business center, study/conference areas, package locker system and bike storage.

The 385,917-square-foot project will also contain 10,500 square feet of ground-level retail space on Marietta Street.

Several businesses at the end of 2017 shuttered to make way for the new development including Raku Ramen.
