TPA Residential is planning a nearly 6-acre mixed-use development on the Southside Trail of the Atlanta BeltLine, at 680 Hamilton Avenue SE.

680 Hamilton would offer 275 apartments and 7,000 square feet of retail across five mid-rise buildings and two parking structures, according to a recently-filed land development permit.

Sitework including “grading, utilities, streetscape, hardscapes, pool, tree removal, replacement, landscaping, dumpster, and parking” is the first major step towards going vertical, and is expected to cost $2,312,000.

680 Hamilton would have “direct access” to the BeltLine’s Southside Trail.

TPA Residential is “closing in July” on the project and “construction will commence immediately following the closing,” Tyler Gaines, a principal at the real estate firm, Tuesday told What Now Atlanta in an email.

    • Vox Media turned their backs on Atlanta Curbed.
Atlanta Curbed commenters were probably the most active in the Nation (on Curbed).

      • Even people I talked to in the industry frequently referenced Curbed as a primary source on development news. Seemed like they had a huge following and threw it away for … uh … reasons???

  • Beltline facade is weak. The patio/bar is a nice touch but for the remainder of the frontage it treats it like a backdoor…

    • Or more like an intimate back patio– like other businesses have done along the BeltLine.
