Luxury hotel submits building permit application to renovate its common areas.

The Ritz Carlton Buckhead Hotel is planning some minor, yet costly, interior renovations.

The luxury hotel, at 3434 Peachtree Road in Buckhead, submitted an application with City of Atlanta to receive a building permit for commercial alterations to the space.

Under the direction of Design One Studio, the Ritz Carlton will undergo interior renovations to its first and second floors, according to the permit application filed at the end of March.

The hotel’s lobby, ballrooms, meeting rooms, restrooms, fitness area, locker rooms and its indoor pool and deck are listed in the permit to be renovated.

Renovations to these common areas will be limited to “finishes and lighting” at an estimated cost of $3,868,000.

The Ritz Carlton was not immediately available for comment.
