Everything Must Go: Nearly 5,000 Items From Over The Decades
The basement doors of the 2 million-square-foot former Sears regional distribution center will open to the public starting today, Monday August 23 at 10 a.m., for the City Hall East Rummage Sale.
Scheduled to run through Saturday, August 28, shoppers will be able to roam through a warehouse-sized area with items for purchase between the hours of 10 a.m.—5 p.m. Mayor Kasim Reed and Councilman Kwanza Hall will be at the event at 9 a.m., according to Scott Henry with Creative Loafing.
Private developers are in negotiation for purchasing the old warehouse which has tasked the city with emptying the building of several decades’ worth of old chairs, filing cabinets, office furniture, fixtures, appliances and other miscellaneous items (“assorted crap” as Henry calls it).

There is still a ton of stuff but a few people brought sold stickers and ran thru putting them on all the good stuff…
