Shops at Covington Town Center, a newly developed 62,787-square-foot shopping center in Covington, has been sold.

The shopping center opened in 2023 and features a 48,387-square-foot Publix store, as well as 14,400 square feet of other retail space. The shopping center is part of a master-planned project that includes 350 apartments, 267 townhomes and three hotels, according to a news release announcing the sale.

Cushman & Wakefield arranged the sale. Margaret Jones, Lane Breedlove, Adam Feinstein, Mark Gilbert and Mitchell Halpern represented the owner and developer, a joint venture between St. Petersburg-based The Sembler Company and Atlanta-based Berkeley Development, in the transaction.

“The community was thrilled to welcome the first Publix location in the Covington market,” said Breedlove. “Covington continues to experience strong economic and population growth and was need of another full-service grocery store.”
