The Buckhead Solcioty—one of five planned for Atlanta—is opening in the Tuxedo Festival shopping center.

Father-daughter duo Chris and India Welton recently signed-on to bring the first Solcioty franchise to Atlanta, according to a company spokesperson Friday.

Solcioty is a new “high-energy” gym concept from Columbus, GA. The Weltons will be the brand’s first franchisees.

“We are very comfortable being Solcioty’s first franchisees; somebody has to do it,” Chris said in a statement posted to the company website.

The Weltons are bringing five Solcioty franchises to the Atlanta area, starting with Buckhead. The first location will debut early 2018 in suite 110 of the Tuxedo Festival shopping center.

Sport fans might recognize the name Chris Welton.

He was a member of UGA’s last national football team in 1980 and ran the marketing program for the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta.

From there, he went on to own and operate two international sports marketing firms.

Investment in Solcioty requires a three-unit minimum commitment. The net worth requirement is $1,500,000, with liquid cash of $600,000.

The total investment range is between $489,000 – $770,000.
