Venterra Realty acquired The Whitney Apartments late last week, according to a press release Monday. This acquisition marks the second in Sandy Springs for the firm and the twelfth in Georgia. The first was The Harrison which sits adjacent to The Whitney, at 5555 Roswell Rd NE. The sales price was not disclosed.

The Whitney is a mid-rise style apartment community built in 1968 with 309 apartments nestled in the trees. The community offers four one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartment layouts ranging in size from 1,000 square feet to 1,500 square feet, with rents ranging from $1,276 to $1,727 per month.

“The Whitney’s position inside The Perimeter makes it an attractive location for stable, long-term growth,” Venterra Realty Chairman Andrew Stewart said in the release. “Venterra is looking forward to modernizing and adding value to the community.” Stewart did not comment on what exactly the modernization would entail or what “added value” can be expected outside of already-implemented changes.

The Whitney’s apartment interiors have been upgraded to include stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, tile backsplashes, and wood plank vinyl floors. The property offers an amenity package including a bark park, yoga studio, and playground.
