New Beltline office mid-rise embraces emerging coworking trend with the addition of ‘Room to Work, LLC.’

Cross-Town Realty, the real estate company that’s leasing and managing The Willoughby, has inked its first deal for the forthcoming office mid-rise project on the Beltline, the company Thursday announced in a press release.

Room to Work, LLC has secured a lease for its yet-to-be-named “luxury” coworking concept, an emerging trend in Atlanta and around the nation, for the Old Fourth Ward project, according to the announcement.

“We’re thrilled to sign our first tenant, a company who shares our vision for creative work space in our growing neighborhood,” Jason Eden, Cross-Town’s managing partner, said in the release.

“Signing the first tenant gets the ball rolling for what future tenants come our way. We can’t wait to see what interest The Willoughby continues to generate in our community as we fill the space, offer convenience and spark inspiration.”

Room to Work’s 15,000-square-foot coworking club concept would include private conference and collaboration areas, food and beverage facilities, fitness and shower facilities, a staff of concierges, and other amenities.

“We’re delighted to sign with Cross-Town Realty as we share a common goal to bring a unique concept to this vibrant part of the city,” Michele Grant of Room to Work, said in the release.

“With its amazing views and proximity to the Beltline, it’s the perfect space to help us achieve our goal of providing an environment for an upscale work experience for those looking for a different type of coworking.”

Set to open June 2017, The Willoughby is located near Ponce City Market, Krog Street Market and the many restaurants, shops and residences of nearby Virginia-Highland and Inman Park.

The Willoughby is being developed by Next Stop LLC and built by Tecton, Inc. Cross-Town Realty LLC is leasing and managing the property.

Coworking – a trend that took-off almost a decade ago for start-ups – is becoming more common place for businesses of all sizes.

And in Atlanta, the options are endless with coworking concepts like WeWork, Roam, Industrious, The Gathering Spot, Strongbox, and Switchyards, to name a few.
