Yoga Body Studios could soon replace the short-lived Bond Organic Market in the East Atlanta Village, at 535 Gresham Ave SE.
Owner Deaundra Cash is in permitting to open the new yoga business.
Cash most recently owned and operated Organic Soul Kitchen, a Vegan meal-prep company.
The entrepreneur did not immediately respond to What Now Atlanta’s (WNA) request for comment.
Paces Properties, the building’s landlord, does “not have a signed lease on that space,” a spokesperson in an email Monday told WNA.
“It seems as though they’ve gone ahead [and] filed for permits, which is atypical without a signed lease.”
Jen Price of Atlanta Beer Boutique in 2018 was scouting the Bond space as a possible outpost for her planned bottle shop.
“[Price] was looking at the space however there was a zoning overlay restriction that prohibited her from having a bottle shop in EAV.”
