Chipotle will soon begin construction on a new site in Dunwoody. The chain will convert a 2,022-square-foot space into its signature restaurant with new wood frame and brick additions, according to construction plans.
The fast casual Mexican restaurant has over 3,000 locations worldwide, including 80 in Georgia, and 16 in Atlanta.
Construction plans indicate that they are making changes to an already existing drive thru area and adding bike racks on the property. The interior will have its distinctive industrial design with steel lintels, bollards, columns, dumpster gates and frame.
Currently, the Chipotle at 1614 Mt. Vernon Road is still in its preliminary planning stage, confirmed Jason Brown, regional construction manager at the fast casual chain. They are aiming to begin construction in June and open in October.
