Amid ongoing changes in Atlanta’s restaurant industry, a well-known local concept is now on the market. Yumbii has listed all of its locations for sale as the restaurant industry continues to face inflation and rising operating costs. The owners have not publicly shared the reason for the decision.
Yumbii Puts Three Locations Up for Sale
Founded in 2012, Yumbii was the Southeast’s first food truck focused on blending Korean and Mexican flavors. The concept soon took off, and Yumbii became a favorite in the neighborhood. Its sesame fries and Yumbii-style wings were especially popular among diners in Atlanta.
Over the years, Yumbii transitioned from a food truck to brick-and-mortar locations, eventually expanding to multiple spots around the city. Its three locations in Midtown, Toco Hills, and Westside have stayed popular among foodies in Atlanta. Recent listings indicate the owners are seeking buyers for all three restaurants.
Listing Details of the Restaurants
According to The Shumacher Group, Yumbii has put up all three restaurants, its food truck, and its catering business for sale. Interested buyers have the option to buy these individually or all together. The owners of Yumbii have yet to reveal anything about the sale and the reason behind this decision.
The bundled listing is priced at $600,000 and includes the restaurants, food truck, and catering operation.
The Westside Yumbii is located at 2275 Marietta Blvd NW in the Publix-anchored Moores Mill Shopping Center. The restaurant occupies a 2,900-square-foot corner space built out in 2022, featuring glass storefronts, an outdoor patio, and a walk-up pickup window with an ordering kiosk.
Inside, the space includes a full bar, approximately 42 dining seats plus bar seating, and a fully equipped commercial kitchen with fryers, burners, prep stations, and walk-in refrigeration. All major systems, including HVAC and the water heater, were recently installed.
The lease runs through February 2032 with a five-year renewal option. The asking price is $200,000, with some owner financing available, and the space may be converted to another landlord-approved concept.
The Toco Hills location at 2907 N Druid Hills spans across approximately 2,270 square feet and was built out in 2020, offering corner visibility, glass storefronts, patio seating, and around 35 indoor seats plus bar seating. The kitchen is fully equipped with a hood system, walk-in refrigerator and freezer, prep areas, and a beverage station, with newer HVAC and mechanical systems.
In addition to the restaurant, the listing includes a separate 1,040-square-foot commissary kitchen, built out in 2022, designed for catering, prep, and off-site production. Like the other locations, this is an asset-only sale with no transfer of brand name, recipes, or financial records. The asking price is $200,000, with owner financing available, and the space may be repurposed for another concept with landlord approval.
The Midtown Yumbii is situated at 931 Monroe Drive NE in the Trader Joe’s-anchored Midtown Promenade, directly adjacent to the Atlanta BeltLine. The restaurant occupies approximately 2,842 square feet in a highly visible corner location and was built out in 2023.
The space includes an outdoor patio, walk-up ordering windows, a full bar with TVs, and seating for approximately 55 guests plus bar and banquet seating. The kitchen is fully outfitted with commercial cooking equipment, prep stations, and refrigeration, and all mechanical systems are new.
The restaurant is currently open and operating and is being sold as an asset sale only, with no inclusion of the Yumbii name, branding, or recipes. The space can be converted to another landlord-approved concept if desired. The asking price is $200,000, with some owner financing available, offering a turnkey opportunity in one of Atlanta’s highest-traffic dining corridors.
Atlanta’s dining scene has witnessed a significant shift as the economic transition has pushed many businesses to closure. With operating costs and margins forming a financial pressure on owners, several long-standing restaurants have said goodbye to the community.
Meanwhile, Yumbii’s sale has opened an opportunity for interested buyers to purchase a restaurant in one of Atlanta’s prime locations. It also comes with owner financing for qualified buyers, reducing the need for full upfront capital. The financing option could broaden interest among buyers seeking a turnkey restaurant opportunity in Atlanta.
