The Morningside-Lenox Park eatery was a mainstay for 41 years.

Yesterday, Alfredo’s Italian Restaurant announced in a Facebook post that this coming Monday will be the eatery’s last day of service:

“Hello Everyone,
Our last night is on Monday April 25, 2016. Our reservation book is full for the remainder of our tenure here at 1989 Cheshire Bridge Rd.
We are in search of a new location. Please keep following us on Facebook for the latest information.
Thank you for your patronage.”

The restaurant, located at 1989 Cheshire Bridge, first confirmed its plans to shutter late last year.

Alfredo’s has been a long-time neighborhood institution after first opening in 1974.

The building housing the restaurant is planned to be torn down to make way for new apartments. A permit filed in March calls for a “lot consolidation of two lots into one,” with the owner listed as Accent Morningside Apartments, LP.

Plans for the new apartments at the property were first filed with the city in November of last year.
