A craft brewery in Hapeville is relocating and joining forces with other local concepts to create a new food-and-beverage destination in East Point.
Arches Brewing is set to move to Atlanta Utility Works this summer.
The craft brewery first opened in Hapeville in 2016. “We have a strong emphasis on classic lagers, but also brew many American styles along with several Euro-inspired ales,” according to the company.
Arches Brewing announced in March that they planned to close in Hapeville and seek out a new location.
“The community of beer lovers, friends, neighbors, and so many others – helped us live out this dream. Now we’re on to the next chapter, and are actively evaluating our next move with the goal of relocating our taproom to a community-driven space with a food partner to embark on this journey,” an announcement said.
That idea has now come to fruition. The company is teaming up with Cultured South and Good As Burgers on a communal taproom concept at Atlanta Utility Works featuring food and beverages.
According to Atlanta Utility Works, the space will include a “full-service restaurant and bar” along with a “garden-to-glass cocktail menu and daily food service.” There will be taps of beer, non-alcoholic kombucha and hard kombucha, as well as plant-based eats from Good As Burgers. A Sip of Paradise Garden will help supply fresh herbs and fruits for the bar programs, and Market 166 will curate a selection of Georgia-made goods.
The Hapeville location of Arches Brewing at 3361 Dogwood Drive is set to close July 31, an extension from the original closing date of May 18.
Housed in a historic industrial building, Atlanta Utility Works is a brewery and multipurpose venue. It has been a filming location for shows like Ozark and Stranger Things.
