Asante has shuttered in Downtown Atlanta, but a new location is “literally under construction,” per the restaurant’s website.

No address for the new location has been provided, but Eater reports that the restaurant will occupy a space in Midtown.

The buildout will be taking place over the summer.

Asante operated out of a space at 250 Park Ave W NW in the Luckie Marietta District since opening in December of 2014.

Chef Marvin Woods is an Emmy Award-nominated television host, cookbook author and restauranteur who has been praised by the likes of Oprah and cooked for First Lady Michelle Obama.
