Shop to serve up a myriad of sweets – with a twist.

Sweet Auburn is about to get sweeter.

Ruchelle Thomas is opening a new concept, Atlanta Candy Bar at 171 Auburn Avenue in the City Walk Apartments.

The shop will be a candy store concept with a twist – all offerings will have the option of being liquor-infused.

Atlanta Candy Bar will be serving up candy cubes (ice cubes with candy frozen inside), cupcakes, mini cupcakes, and cake pops, dessert kabobs, candy drinks, cake jars, ice cream, espresso shots, cupcake milkshakes, and a variety of chocolate and candy, with 24 topping options.

Additionally, guests may choose to “cone it,” (create an ice cream cupcake) “push it up,” (create a push pop cake) “pipe it up,” and “shake it up” (infuse cupcakes and/or cookies into a milkshake) in customizing their deserts.

Thomas told What Now Atlanta Monday that chocolate fountains will also be flowing.

Luckily, guests can avoid candy-coated DUIs as the shop will be located right on the Atlanta Streetcar line.

In the long run, Thomas hopes to open other outposts of Atlanta Candy Bar in other college campus-adjacent areas.

The concept’s grand opening is slated for May 27 at noon.
