New Restaurant Openings in Atlanta This August
Atlanta’s thriving dining scene continues to grow with several new eateries making their debut this August. Here’s a look at some of the latest additions to the city’s culinary landscape:
Dunkin’s Flowery Branch
- Where: 7425 Spout Springs Rd, Flowery Branch

Dunkin’ opened a 1,700-square-foot restaurant with a seating area for 16 people, including outdoor seating. The eatery design has an open layout with bright colors and contemporary materials. The Flowery Branch location features an innovative tap system with eight cold beverages, including nitro cold brew and iced tea.
The eatery will also be using flavor-maximizing espresso machines for handcrafted beverages. The Metro Atlanta location has been upgraded with LED lighting, low-flow faucets, and high-efficiency mechanical systems. These upgrades make the Flowery Branch location about 33% more energy efficient than other Dunkin’ restaurants.
King’s Chicken

King’s Chicken, a quick-service concept at Atlanta’s Halidom Eatery, puts a modern spin on Southern classics. The menu reflects recipes from owner Steve Mallard’s childhood.
The menu thoughtfully combines classic Southern comfort with bold, chef-inspired flavors. Guests can enjoy rotisserie chicken, home-style potato salad, Chicken N Waffle Cake, and fried chicken, among others. Some of the dessert specials include Southern-style chocolate cake, Mint Lemonade, and Cherry Slushie.
Elise

- When: August 19
Located at the Woodruff Arts Center in Atlanta, Elise is the second venture by Chef Craig Richards. The menu features seafood-centric dishes inspired by both Italian and French culinary traditions.
Standouts include French dishes with Italian influences. The menu reflects Chef Richards’ signature approach, blending classical technique with creative flair. The menu also features prime-grade Midwestern steaks.
Caribou Coffee

With more than 800 coffee shops worldwide, Caribou Coffee recently opened two new shops in Atlanta. Both shops feature Caribou’s signature Caramel High Rise along with a variety of teas, energy drinks, and the new Lemonade Refreshers.
For guests who don’t enjoy coffee, options like teas, energy drinks, and the newly launched Lemonade Refreshers offer a great alternative. The menu also includes sandwiches, snacks, and baked goods to pair with the drinks. The handcrafted drinks keep customers coming back for more.
MilkShake Factory

The dessert and milkshake brand from Pittsburgh, MilkShake Factory, made its Atlanta debut this August with handspun milkshakes and premium chocolates. The menu is based on family recipes from Founder and CEO Dana Edwards Manatos.
Some of the highlights are Campfire S’mores, sundaes, chocolate-covered strawberries, and molten chocolate cups, among other housemade treats. The brand also plans to expand with five more Atlanta locations this year. The store is open every day from 12 PM to 10 PM.
