Buckhead favorite to move forward with renovations.
Aria: top-notch avant-garde cuisine matched by style that hasn’t been touched in a while.
The upscale Atlanta restaurant whose decor has been described as “a bit 90s”, “Strange and noticeably unrelated”, “quite questionable” and “eclectically decorated by a sophisticated well-traveled artist” is getting a new look – $81,000 worth, according to a Commercial Alteration permit filed with City of Atlanta.
A manager at the restaurant told What Now Atlanta in a phone conversation Wednesday that the establishment will debut a “fresh” new look. He was not available for further comment.
The restaurant’s website describes Chef Gary Klaskala‘s style of cooking as an avant-garde take on fine American cuisine. Seeing how avant-garde is defined as “new and unusual or experimental ideas,” the interior design has been successful in conveying the restaurant’s vision.
Aria has been a local favorite since it opened in Spring of 2000 and it is routinely listed as a top dining establishment among Atlanta restaurants.
