Denver-based Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar is set to make its Decatur debut on Monday, November 12.

To celebrate, the new restaurant, at 1575 Church Street in the North Decatur Square shopping center, will host an official grand opening event the following day on Tuesday, November 13.

The burger joint will kick off its celebration at 10:30 a.m. with a “ceremonial burger” and ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the DeKalb Chamber of Commerce.

The “ceremonial burger” will be a “massive burger loaded with toppings to celebrate the occasion in style,” according to a press release Thursday.

“We couldn’t be more excited to introduce our award-winning, chef-driven burgers to everyone in Decatur,” Boyd Hoback, Bad Daddy’s CEO, said in the release.

“We have assembled a team of 60 fun, hardworking, customer-service-oriented individuals to join us in sharing our culinary passion with the community. We look forward to celebrating with everyone on Tuesday during our ribbon-cutting ceremony.”

In addition to the official grand opening celebration, Bad Daddy’s will host a “donation night” on December 6 with 10 percent of the day’s proceeds benefitting Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.

The new 3,700-square-foot restaurant marks the fourth Bad Daddy’s in Georgia.

Nationwide the company has 33 locations.
