B&B Tavern, a brand in Intentional Expectations Hospitality Group’s portfolio, is expanding its reach, with plans to open a new location in downtown Milton at 12620 Crabapple Road later this year.

The spot marks the fifth location for Intentional Expectations Hospitality Group, joining a B&B Tavern on Sixes Road in Canton, one in Free Home, B&B Social in downtown Canton and The Butcher and Bottle in Ellijay.

The location in Milton will span nearly 5,000 square feet and will feature a welcoming, elevated restaurant-bar atmosphere. Adam Anacker, co-founder of Intentional Expectations Hospitality Group, told What Now Atlanta that they were attracted to Milton because it has a good blend of restaurants, ranging from upscale spots to fast food. However, he saw a gap in the market for a family-centric upscale tavern — a hole that he believes B&B Tavern will fill in the community.

“We’re looking for great communities that have strong families, kid-friendly atmospheres [and that are] near things that keep people in the area who are looking for an upscale tavern to bring their kids and their family to, have a date night or have a couple drinks during happy hour,” Anacker said. “Milton inspired us because it has a lot of things that fit with our brand.”

This location was slightly smaller than other B&B Tavern spaces, and it will not have a patio like the other spots. However, the shopping area around the forthcoming spot in Milton offers plenty of outdoor space, so Anacker and his team scooped up the spot.

Renderings on Scoop OTP showcase plenty of room for dining as well as some arcade games for family-friendly fun. The menu features items like wings, mozzarella sticks, salads, burgers, sandwiches, meatloaf, ribeye, country fried chicken, and shrimp and grits. There is also a full beverage program, featuring wine, beer, cocktails and low-proof cocktails.

Anacker founded Intentional Expectations Hospitality Group with his co-founder Brian Stanley in 2020. Since then, they have prioritized growing the brand at a steady pace, strategically choosing locations that fit with their brand.

“When God opens doors, we listen, and he guides us through that. When opportunities present themselves, we like to be slow and methodical and get one location at a time, perfect it and be ready for the next door to be open,” Anacker said.

Anacker views spots like B&B Tavern as increasingly important for fostering connection and community as technology like AI becomes more popular. He said he hopes to one day hit double digits with the B&B brand, expanding throughout the area. However, the growth will be slow and steady, with Anacker aiming for about one new location per year.

The team is aiming for an October opening in Milton.
