Burrito joint to replace now shuttered Social House
One Atlanta restaurant space is going from breakfast to burritos.
Bell Street Burritos will open its second location on the Westside, according to a Facebook posting from Matt Hinton, owner of the burrito joint.
It will replace the now shuttered Social House restaurant. Social House closed for renovations in August. It never reopened.
Here’s what Hinton said in his Facebook post Tuesday announcing Bell Street’s newest location:
At long last, we can make this announcement: About a week and a half ago, I signed a lease on a second location for Bell Street Burritos. Since then, we have been working tirelessly to get it whipped into shape. We will be in a fantastic spot on the Westside on Howell Mill (the former location of the Social House). We are at the mercy of various city and county agencies, so we don’t yet know exactly what day we will open, but of course, you will know first. Happily, we will be open in the evening and on weekends.
Bell Street Burrito’s was going to open its second location at the East Atlanta Village in partnership with Grant Central Pizza’s owner, replacing a former Wachovia bank. The deal fell through. Instead, the space reopened as Tomatillas.
Bell Street Burritos’ original location is at the Sweet Auburn Market Downtown.
When its Westside location will open is not confirmed.
Ok, I will try to respond again today since my comment somehow did not post yesterday. I am VERY happy about their new location! I live close by and will visit them often! Best wishes!
