The ‘certified-organic’ confectionery was once located on Bennett Street.
Bella’s Best Bakery, an online retailer of organic baked goods that until earlier this year had a physical storefront, has plans to revitalize its brick-and-mortar operation.
A building permit application was filed with City of Atlanta this week to convert space, at 1080 Cheshire Bridge, into Bella’s Best Bakery.
In March Co-Owner Kim Purnell-Grady shuttered the Bella’s Best “flagship” at 25-D Bennett Street NW with plans to reopen in East Cobb, according to a post to the company’s Facebook page.
Those plans changed in July when a new location, presumably the Cheshire Bridge space, was announced on the social media platform.
“The Cheshire Bridge location is better for our customers. It’s easier to find, our neighbors are also in the food industry, we’re much more visible from the road, and accessible for foot traffic,” Purnell-Grady told What Now Atlanta in an email.
“It’s better for us too. We have more space, its a standalone building, and it feels more like Aunt Bella’s home.”
Bella’s Best, named after “Aunt Bella,” should be in “full swing” before Valentine’s Day.
Founded in 2006, Bella’s Best retails “goodies” like Apricot Strucla, Pecan Shortbread Cookies, and 7-Up Cake that are “100 percent natural, organic and baked fresh to order.”
Is the address 1080 or 1830 Cheshire Bridge?
I always enjoyed this spot on Bennett Street, which has turned into a disaster.
Good for Kim and her Aunt Bella. Cheshire Bridge is a better location. Go Kim
and Ray!!
