Lee + White has landed another beer-centric concept.

Partners Rob HayesTim Schiavone, and Cory Burke are launching Best End Brewpub at the West End development under newly-formed parent group T&R Brewing Company.

Hayes is the finance guy, Schiavone is the brewmaster, and Burke is the executive chef.

“We’re a full-on brewpub where we make all of our food and beer in-house,” Hayes told What Now Atlanta in a telephone interview last week.

“Our focus is on top-notch local beer and upscale food.”

In addition to serving its own brews, Best End Brewpub will offer a full bar with craft cocktails.

“It’s going to be a revival story,” Hayes said.

“The space was a warehouse. We’re going to keep that industrial feel but warmed up with elements like reclaimed wood.”

Best End Brewpub’s 17,500-square-foot space will be divided nearly equally into part-brewery, part-restaurant.

A “large glass demising wall” will separate the two spaces but allow patrons to see the brewing operation from the bar.

With 40 to 50 seats, roughly 25 percent of the dining space—200 seats in total—will be dedicated to a chef’s table area.

“You can sit in the chef’s table area where a lot of line work in the kitchen will be upfront and on display.”

The restaurant and brewery is currently in permitting with the City of Atlanta and is expected to open late-2018, early-2019.

Its buildout is expected to cost $1,250,000.

The restaurant and brewery gets its name for the West End neighborhood where it’s situated and from the saying popular among Westsiders that the “Westside is the best side,” according to Hayes.

Best End Brewpub’s neighbors include Monday Night Brewing and soon-to-open second locations of Wild Heaven Beer and ASW Distillery.

Hop City in August filed plans for its two-story outpost at the West End development.
