A Kentucky-based brunch restaurant plans to expand to Atlanta.

Biscuit Belly has announced their plans to bring as many as five locations to the market as part of the brand’s efforts to grow the concept in the Southeast.

There is currently one Biscuit Belly location open in Georgia, in Acworth. The new locations are expected to be located across the metro Atlanta area. According to an announcement, they are eyeing Alpharetta, Marietta, Woodstock, Brookhaven, Buford and Sandy Springs.

Biscuit Belly was founded in 2019 by Lauren and Chad Coulter. The concept is known for chef-inspired offerings revolving around a scratch-made biscuit. The menu includes biscuit sandwiches, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, omelettes and more, along with coffee beverages and breakfast cocktails.

Biscuit Belly can currently be found in Kentucky, Alabama, North Carolina and Virginia. Locations are also planned for South Carolina.

Within the next two years, two to three new locations could be open in Georgia, a state close to the founders’ hearts.

“Biscuit Belly was born out of my love for biscuits when I was young and growing up in Georgia and as a student at UGA,” Chad Coulter said in a statement. “The state holds a special place in my heart and it’s awesome to be able to continue developing the Georgia market and adding to our location in Acworth.”
