Bocado is opening soon at its new home in Sandy Springs.
The restaurant is slated to open in September at Powers Ferry Village. The menu will feature small plates and wood-fired pizzas, pasta, seafood and steak entrees. The restaurant will have a large patio, with indoor and outdoor seating for up to 80 people.
Bocado originally started as an American eatery in West Midtown, where it operated for 12 years, in addition to sister concepts Bocado Burger in Alpharetta (later rebranding in 2022 to just “Bocado”) and Bocado Bar + Diner in Charlotte, North Carolina. Bocado closed in Alpharetta earlier this year.
“As the Bocado concept evolves, I can’t wait to take our menu in this direction,” owner Brian Lewis said. “We will continue to source our ingredients meticulously, using flour from a small Italian farm, fresh mozzarella, and bright, dense tomatoes grown in Southern Italy’s Campania region near the coast.”
The menu will include a selection of favorite dishes from Bocado’s former locations, as well as small plates like grilled artichokes with lemon garlic remoulade, and beef carpaccio with white truffle oil, local arugula, watermelon radish, capers and shaved parmesan.
Entrees include dishes like house-made lasagna, pasta carbonara, wood-fired filet mignon and wild-caught red snapper, along with 72-hour naturally leavened, wood-fired sourdough pizzas. The restaurant will serve beer and wine.
