Brookhaven’s dining scene is set to gain a new addition as Mirae, an Asian-fusion restaurant, prepares to open its doors. The restaurant will debut on Friday, October 24, at Parkside on Dresden Drive. The name Mirae is derived from the Korean word “future.”
Mirae: A New Dining Experience in Brookhaven
Mirae is the newest addition in Brookhaven by husband-wife duo John and Grace Lee, who are known for their famous Atlanta eateries.
There will be limited reservations available for restaurants through Resy, with walk-ins and expanded hours.
Culinary Innovation at Its Core
The restaurant will offer rich Asian flavors with a contemporary twist. The modern menu blends traditional comfort dishes inspired by the Lees’ Korean heritage with inventive global influences. Guests can expect a multi-course dining experience with high-quality, thoughtfully sourced ingredients.
The menu includes crab bisque with yuzu oil and wasabi chips. There’s also Confit Cabbage Salad with black garlic purée and miso butter emulsion.
For entrées, there is the Shrimp Toast (Menbosha) with reduced white wine emulsion. Claypot Chicken comes with bouillon rice, mushrooms, and truffles. The Aged Wagyu Don includes nori, yuzu cream, and nama tamago. Finally, savor the Miso-Braised Short Ribs with Duchess wasabi mashed potatoes.
Mirae’s beverage program complements its menu with creative cocktails and curated pours. Highlights include the Dancing Flower, made with Japanese gin, Campari, ginger, raspberry, and balsamic; and the Crouching Tiger, featuring tequila, ancho verde, and sudachi. Other standouts include the Whisper of Kyoto, featuring Japanese whiskey, amaretto, pineapple, and egg white; and the Shanghai Mule, a twist on the classic with vodka, five-spice, coconut, and ginger tea.
A Welcoming Atmosphere
Mirae pairs its comforting cuisine with a warm, community-driven atmosphere designed to make every guest feel at home. The 5,000-square-foot restaurant blends modern design with natural textures, creating a serene, welcoming space. It has high ceilings with soft lighting, an earthy color palette, and a minimalist seating setup around a tranquil Zen garden at the center.
“We’re excited to bring Mirae to life and showcase a menu filled with dishes that hold personal meaning to us,” said owners John and Grace Lee. “Curated with favorites from our childhoods mixed with flavors we’ve enjoyed while traveling, our menu was designed to reflect the same warmth and comfort that first drew us to Brookhaven. We hope our guests feel right at home at Mirae.”
Mirae brings a fresh design, an inventive Asian-inspired menu, and a community-focused dining concept to Brookhaven. Blending the Lees’ culinary roots with creativity, it offers a comforting yet fresh dining experience.
