Bytes Restaurant, the hi-tech Midtown eatery from husband-and-wife duo Christian and Nacasha Ruffin, is closing up shop.

Bytes Restaurant’s last day in business, at 848 Spring Street, will be Sunday, June 9, Christian Friday shared exclusively with What Now Atlanta.

“We are shifting gears into a new journey,” Ruffin said.

“While we’re retiring from the restaurant industry to explore other opportunities, you can expect details of our next venture very shortly.”

Bytes Restaurant was in business for a little more than a year and a half.

“We hate to say goodbye to the restaurant business but we have a two and three-year-old, and we can only diversify so much.”

Ruffins said all of the restaurant’s employees have been placed elsewhere and will begin new jobs Monday.

Before Bytes, the Ruffins operated Do at The View in King Plow Arts Center.
