Plans were filed this week to renovate the Buckhead restaurant.

California Pizza Kitchen (CPK) in Lenox Square Mall will soon undergo remodeling and renovations.

Plans this week were filed with City of Atlanta to overhaul the nearly 6,500-square-foot Buckhead pizzeria.

An estimated $500,000 will be spent giving the pizza joint a refreshed look as part of the company’s initiative to remodel half of its 192 company-owned U.S. locations by the end of 2015.

Lenox Square mid-last year completed a multi-million dollar renovation including updates to the food court where CPK is situated.

The California-based pizza joint since 1985 celebrated 30 years in business March 27.

CPK was not immediately available for comment.

  • Before they renovate, they might want to improve the overall service and quality of the food. I was there two weeks ago and the entire place was filthy. They had to move us three times due to the mess. We spoke to the manager on duty and she just shrugged her shoulders. We promptly left and went to Prime instead. Larry Flax and Rick Rosen, the original owners would have been mortified.
