The takeout joint could soon be an ‘upscale’ eatery and lounge.

The Wing Shack in Castleberry Hill could get a culinary upgrade.

Shams Diggs, the takeout joint’s owner, has plans to rebrand the concept into Chat and Chew, an “upscale” eatery and lounge serving organic eats.

Diggs this week filed a permit application with City of Atlanta to convert the existing The Wing Shack into Chat and Chew.

The restaurant’s menu would offer a Buffalo, New York-inspired take on items like steak hoagies, chicken wings, fried snapper, grouper and perch, Diggs told What Now Atlanta in a telephone conversation Wednesday.

Diggs plans are to add a rooftop deck to the existing structure and extend business hours from 11:00 a.m to 6:00 a.m.
