The Plaza on Ponce will soon be home to Southern Belle and Georgia Boy, two new restaurants from Gunshow Executive Chef Joey Ward.

Eater Atlanta Thursday first shared details on the forthcoming Poncey-Highland eateries.

Ward in an email to What Now Atlanta confirmed the news.

Southern Belle and Georgia Boy, although separate concepts, will be housed under one roof in the former Island Flowers space, at 1049 Ponce De Leon Avenue NE.

Southern Belle will dish up small plates, cocktails, beer, and wine, according to Eater Atlanta.

It is named for Ward’s wife Emily, a former Miss Georgia and current attorney.

Georgia Boy will be a 16-seat chef’s counter speakeasy offering a ten-course tasting menu.

Spencer Gomez will act as chef de cuisine at the restaurants, Ward confirmed on his personal Instagram.

Ward will depart Gunshow in early-2019 and open his new concepts in the spring.

More details are forthcoming, Ward said.
