Five Restaurant Openings Uncovered Last Week
From established chains to fresh concepts, Atlanta is getting a new round of unique dining spots. As the city’s dining scene expands, locals can look forward to diverse menus and neighborhood favorites. Here’s what’s joining the city’s dining scene soon:
Chops Lobster Bar

Chops Lobster Bar is heading to Centennial Yards in Downtown Atlanta, opening its third location. Owned by Buckhead Life Restaurant Group, the 13,000-square-foot location is expected to open in late 2026, featuring a warm, inviting atmosphere.
Chops Lobster Bar Downtown will offer fresh seafood and USDA Prime-aged beef. The menu will highlight premium dishes, including champion-breed Miyazaki prefecture A5 wagyu, Nova Scotia lobster, and Spanish octopus.

Black Box Cafe

Pittsburgh Yards is soon to welcome a new restaurant concept called the Black Box Cafe. Spanning over a 320-square-foot shipping container, the restaurant was founded by Anthony Wilkes. According to the permit filing, the Logan Wilkes Foundation is associated with the cafe.

Adam J’s Sandwich Shop

Adam J’s Sandwich Shop is heading to Pittsburg Yards, opening its first brick-and-mortar location. Set to open this spring in a 320-square-foot shipping container, the shop will serve fresh grilled cheese sandwiches to the neighborhood.
Adam Jackson, a fifth-generation Atlantan, is behind the concept. Adam J’s menu serves the classic grilled cheese sandwich, chicken parmesan grilled cheese, pastrami melt grilled cheese, and more.

The Oink Joint

MacDuff Crossing shopping center is soon to welcome The Oink Joint, bringing the brand to Peachtree City. The Oink Joint, a competition-style BBQ spot, is famous for its hickory-smoked meats and homemade sauces. The location is expected to open in late March or early April.
The menu features barbecue sandwiches, plates, tacos, nachos, and bowls. The restaurant will feature elements of cedar and metal, offering a modern twist on classic barbecue design. Read more about the opening here.
Jimmy John’s

Jimmy John’s is heading to a new location in Warner Robins. The Illinois-based sandwich franchise will open a location along South Houston Lake Road. Franchisee Willion Amos will be opening the spot, adding to the brand’s more than 2,000 locations.
Jimmy John’s offers a variety of subs, from a protein-fueled Gargantuan sub to chicken sandwiches and wraps. Amos already runs Jimmy John’s locations across central Georgia, including Woodstock, Macon, Tifton, and Byron. Read more about the opening here.
