UPDATE (December 19, 2018): City Tap Is Nearing Its Midtown Opening In Former Gordon Biersch Space
Philadelphia-based City Tap House is moving forward with plans to open in Midtown.
A permit application this week was submitted to the City of Atlanta for the restaurant’s buildout, at 848 Peachtree Street.
The beer-centric gastropub, the first in Georgia, is opening in space formerly occupied by Gordon Biersch.
The exterior will get a “refresh” but the 12,340-square-foot interior will undergo a complete overhaul in its transformation into City Tap House.
Construction will cost an estimated $750,000.
Duluth-based Garrard Group is the project’s General Contractor.
The construction and development company locally has built projects like The Painted Duck, Cyclebar, and big-box retailers like Hobby Lobby and Family Dollar.

Any idea if they plan on widening the sidewalk in front? I hate how narrow it is here compared to the surrounding buildings.
