Cocktail bar Close Company is bringing its first location to Atlanta, with plans to open at 505 North Angier Avenue, Suite 320. It is targeting a September opening, according to Eater Atlanta.
Close Company has two other locations open: Nashville and Las Vegas. It offers an extensive list of cocktails, including zero-proof cocktails.
“There’s a certain kind of bar that lives forever in your memory — not because it was fancy, but because it was honest. The floors were sticky, the jukebox never missed, and the drinks? Strong, cheap, and exactly what you needed. Close Company is that bar reborn, re-imagined, and rebuilt by the folks who give a damn about cocktails,” the Close Company website states.
Close Company is part of the Death & Co. family of brands, which have become hospitality group Gin & Luck, helmed by David Kaplan.
Death & Co. originated in New York’s East Village in 2005 and exploded in popularity, eventually expanding to Denver, Los Angeles and Washington, D.C. Close Company’s website describes it as “the unbuttoned, unpretentious younger sister of Death & Co.” It places an emphasis on quality drinks and fun.
