The restaurant and grocery store could open soon in the Sweet Auburn Curb Market.

Sweet Auburn Curb Market could soon be home to a joint restaurant and grocery store concept.

Joe Crosby, former Savannah State head coach and Coach Joe’s Online founder, last week filed plans with City of Atlanta to buildout Coach Joe’s Eatery and City Provisions, a restaurant and grocery store respectively, in the indoor artisanal market.

The 4,374-square-foot joint space would dish-up and retail goods produced and sold through Coach Joe’s Online, Crosby in a telephone interview last week told What Now Atlanta.

Coach Joe’s, which was founded in 2011, retails items like hickory smoked USDA meats, seafood products, sauces and seasoning blends.

The space would also retail Viking commercial kitchen appliances through a Viking demonstration kitchen in the space, according to Crosby.

As for Coach Joe’s Eatery and City Provisions, don’t think “upscale” like Ponce City Market or Krog Street Market, Crosby said.

Coach Joe’s and City Provisions would be “for everybody.”
